Why DIGG?

Adult education and skills that are built under the auspices of the Adult learning associations and in volunteering are an important foundation for positive impact both in working life, in leisure time and for a sustainable future. The Adult learning associations' building expertise is disseminated and exercised daily and throughout the country through its affiliated members. Hereby we refer to Studieforbund course statistics for 2021 at https://statistikk.vofo.no/2021
This unique course and learning organization the Adult learning associations stand for, has undoubtedly characterized the Nordic society, identity, values and our democratic formation. the Adult learning associations and Vofo know that this, in isolation, does not make us an exception to influence from today's societal demands and changes in attitude. These needs and challenges that our Adult learning associations, course leaders and course participants experience today can be described in the following points.

1-. Lack of knowledge and information acquisition, about how digitalisation, green conversion and digital inclusion can contribute to qualitative re-design and design of course plans and
course activities.
2.- Need for a greater comprehensive and practical understanding of the importance of increased green digital competence, green transition thinking. Where and updated aging
population can be an important source of senior expertise for future demands and needs from society.
3.- Need for wider knowledge of various digital tools, methodologies and practices that promote hybrid learning leadership
5.- Statements with little recognition of the informal skills course participants acquire in informal but organized arenas. Important for access to working life or other formal education.
6.- A great need for documentation collection of informal skills and competence. Through performance-based assessments that demonstrate skills in specific subject areas.
7.- Need for increased knowledge about Micro credentials and digital badges with possible areas of use. This can strengthen the point already described above
8- Lack of knowledge about Erasmus and its importance for greater European cooperation and understanding of EU perspectives within adult learning and EU quality standards.

To gain increased knowledge and a fact-based basis in the areas we experience needs and challenges with and described in the points above. Will Vofo be better equipped with a holistic and specialized expertise in the areas the DIGG project wants to embrace. This will clearly be reflected in the benefit of the course participants through our work for the student associations. By including course participants actively and practically by gathering experiences and practices from other European adult education actors who know and practice schemes that strengthen the investment within Digitalization, Green transition; inclusion and systems of recognition and validity for informal adult competence and learning. The learners will have the opportunity to contribute and be references for the he Adult learning associations' future courses and learning activity design with a greater focus on innovation and a greater holistic spotlight on the areas DIGG wants to lift. Ultimately, this will result in increased course value for learners, greater future-oriented understanding of the areas DIGG embraces, as empowerment for self-mastery and eventually as qualification for working life or as greater motivation for further formal vocational or higher education. Please define the objectives your organisation wants to achieve by implementing this Key Action 1 mobility project. Your objectives should be concrete, realistic, and should represent a real benefit for your organisation and its learners.
