GREEN THINKING

GREEN THINKING AND ALE

Adult education and learning must contribute to sustainability at all possible levels in society and not just through offering skills, knowledge and competence. As the European Association for the Education of Adults - EAEA states. In the adult education sector, we are aware of the challenges we face- Climate change and its consequences.- Environmental problems such as loss of biological diversity, food waste, air pollution, plastic pollution and soil degradation. And never has it been more important to motivate and challenge our sector to, through learning, education, courses or study circles, operate on an independent theme. Dedicated time to raise awareness, practice and not least make visible how important actors within adult learning are no exception to putting "the effect of sustainability, green thinking and environmental friendliness" on the agendaThrough the DIGG project, NAAL has become familiar with good initiatives around Europe, where EAEA has been a valuable reference point to show how much is being done in Europe in the ALE sector within Green thinking and sustainability. In November 2023, in Brussels, the entire staff of The Norwegian Association for Adult Learning received a review of various initiatives, projects and deepening the importance of our sector following the sustainability goals and how we can do it.
